Meet Shawna

Hi, I'm Shawna! I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), wife, mom of three, and the owner of Bay Area Behavior Consulting, LLC. I've been working in the field of behavior analysis since 2012 and have been a BCBA since 2019.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting neurodivergent children and their families across a variety of settings, helping children build meaningful skills, navigate behavioral challenges, and celebrate progress along the way.

As both a clinician and a mom, I understand that every child and family is unique. My passion goes beyond supporting children—I'm equally committed to empowering caregivers through compassionate guidance and practical strategies that make everyday life a little easier.

Through individualized in-home ABA therapy and caregiver education, my goal is to help children develop meaningful skills while ensuring families feel supported, confident, and equipped to thrive together.

When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with my family, camping, enjoying the outdoors, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers!

I'm so glad you're here and look forward to connecting with more families in our community!

Why I Started Bay Area Behavior Consulting

Bay Area Behavior Consulting was founded in 2022 after years of working with children and families across a variety of settings. Through those experiences, I saw a need for more flexible, individualized options for families whose needs didn’t always fit neatly within traditional service models. Families may be looking for support at different ages or stages of development, more focused support, or practical caregiver guidance without necessarily needing a comprehensive ABA program.

I created Bay Area Behavior Consulting to offer a more personal and flexible approach, beginning with caregiver education and support and later expanding to BCBA-direct in-home ABA services. My goal has remained the same: to meet families where they are, focus on what matters most in their everyday lives, and provide meaningful support that fits their individual needs.
